Powerpoint is Evil
It is said that a powerpoints affect schools "cognitive" style of many schools. Instead of writing down essays on a piece of paper with a pen, students are taught how to formulate client pitches and infomercials. Even Elementary kids start to already start to learn the basics of how to make powerpoints. Powerpoints shorten words like from 80 words written can be shortened to 10-20 words on a powerpoint. Also, when information is loaded together, it will be hard for reader's to understand the context and evaluate relationships. While Powerpoint should be a compeyent slide projecter and manager, it is often mistaken by a substitution for it. On the other hand, powerpoint seems to be practical. Statistics have proven that people learn and absorb better visualy which should be the main point of a powerpoint. Since technology is becomming more complex and easier to use, many schools use powerpoints to help with presentations. One can spare much time when making a powerpoint than having to use blackboards, whiteboards, overhead projectors, photographic slides, flip charts and other technologies. Powerpoint not only saves time, but also makes the audience remember what the speaker says
